Adults only

animedoll.org is intended exclusively for readers aged 18 and above, or the higher age required by applicable local law. Its subject is adult products and factual descriptions of their construction, materials and care. The site’s editorial goal is informative comparison, not explicit depiction. Where relevant, anatomical product features are named plainly and clinically, including insert construction and maintenance requirements.

All dolls and figures included as product examples must have clearly mature adult bodies and adult age presentation. This rule applies to photographs, copy, stylized heads, poses and any submitted link. A manufacturer’s age claim is not enough when the visual presentation is ambiguous.

What products are excluded

We never feature, describe, promote, compare or link to prohibited childlike dolls. This is an absolute editorial boundary, not a material-category exception. The exclusion applies regardless of whether a listing calls an item anime, collectible, fantasy or custom. Youth-coded designs are not converted into adult products by a seller’s written label.

Miniature content, when covered, is restricted to scaled adult figures with unambiguous mature proportions and adult presentation. If there is doubt, the product is omitted. We also exclude any content that invites age-ambiguous fantasy framing. Readers may report any link or image that appears to cross this line.

Canada and Australia

Canadian authorities have reported enforcement cases in which dolls of the kind this policy excludes were treated as prohibited material under federal child-protection law. The specific product and facts matter; these cases are not a universal rule covering every ordinary adult-bodied doll. Canada Border Services Agency published a relevant 2026 interception and police referral.

Australia enacted federal provisions covering possession of specified childlike sex dolls in 2019; the legislation itself sets out the prohibited conduct. These examples explain why the site excludes such products categorically. They do not establish a blanket guarantee that every adult item can be legally imported into every country.

Image and text standards

Product imagery should depict only clearly adult-proportioned figures. Editorial images may show features relevant to face sculpt, materials, joints and accessories without explicit sexual activity. No youth-styled scenario or character-franchise lookalike claim is permitted. Product descriptions should state relevant factual features plainly and avoid vulgar narrative or theatrical sexual framing.

A clear adult body is necessary but not sufficient if costume, styling or other visual cues undermine adult presentation. Editors must consider the overall image rather than inspecting a height number in isolation. An unsuitable source photo must not be reused merely because it appears on a legitimate manufacturer domain.

Reporting a concern

Email editors@animedoll.org with the page path, section and concise description of the concern. A link to a relevant official law or policy source is useful for alleged legal errors. Do not send prohibited imagery or unnecessary private information. Editors may correct an inaccurate assertion, remove an unsuitable item or unlink a destination inconsistent with the site’s adult-only scope.

The information site cannot investigate an individual criminal allegation or provide legal clearance for a particular purchase. If a concern involves immediate risk or suspected illegal activity, contact the appropriate authorities through their official channels.

How adult presentation is assessed

The mere height or weight of a figure does not establish that it depicts an adult. Editors must consider head styling, face proportion, body development, clothing cues and the surrounding editorial context together. A scaled adult collector design can be considered only when its adult presentation is unmistakable. If photographs leave serious doubt, the model should not appear in a listing, comparison, recommendation or referral route.

This rule also applies when the manufacturer presents a product using character-inspired language. We do not reproduce franchise or character names, make lookalike claims or use a seller's suggestive age label to resolve ambiguous appearance. Photos are evaluated for the product that readers would actually be directed to purchase, not just a conveniently cropped view. A clear product description cannot repair an unsuitable picture, and a well-lit product photo cannot substitute for confirmation of material and legal characteristics.

Editorial review of models and referral destinations

A model has to satisfy the adult-presentation rule before editors consider a material comparison, brand evidence or price. Review includes the overall appearance and the product page that a referral would open. If the store changes the destination to an unsuitable product, the editorial link should be withdrawn rather than retained for commercial reasons. We do not sell ranking positions, and any potential referral commission cannot override the product exclusion.

This site does not require graphic imagery to compare construction. A useful illustration can show the head sculpt, material surface, mechanical joint, packaging or accessory connection. Functional openings and removable components may be named in straightforward product language when relevant to maintenance. Text should avoid scenarios and narratives designed to arouse. Image captions and search snippets follow the same standards as long-form body copy. These rules remain in effect even if a competitor uses more provocative material.

Reader reports and policy maintenance

Readers can send the specific page path and location of a suspected violation to editors@animedoll.org. A clear written description is preferred over forwarding an image that may itself be prohibited. For an inaccurate legal sentence, provide the jurisdiction and official provision or current legislative-status record if possible. Include the date because the legal state may have changed after the editorial snapshot.

The appropriate editorial response depends on the issue. It can include correcting a statement, replacing or deleting an image, removing a model, disabling a referral or explaining an unresolved conflict between credible sources. There is no entitlement to keep a commercial listing visible while a serious age-presentation concern is unresolved. The website is not a public reporting portal or emergency service; suspected criminal conduct should be reported to competent authorities through their official channels.
